Chinnathambi "Chinny" Esakkiperumal, a M.S. student, received an Outstanding Student Paper Award at the AGU 2002 Fall Meeting in San Francisco for his paper entitled "Multi-objective optimization of groundwater remediation system design."
Gaisheng Liu, a Ph.D. student, received a 2003 Student Research Grant Award from the GSA. His winning research proposal entitled "Modeling and experimental study of contaminant transport in aquifers containing high-conductivity networks" was recognized as being of exceptionally merit in conception and presentation.
